The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for various data entry administrative functions supporting the warehouse management team. The Inventory Control Technician is also responsible for timely and accurately reconciling inventory discrepancies to determining root causes and submit corrective action recommendations. The Cycle Counter will participate in cycle counts, investigations, inventory discrepancies, monitoring of aged in transit reports, order verifications, and data entry to assist management in maintaining accurate inventories. This position is also expected to analyze the origin of all discrepancies and present recommendations to warehouse management. Management: support Company and management goals, objectives and policies by actions and words. Communicate effectively with other departments as appropriate, providing information as requested. Research and document all inventory related discrepancy issues including damaged inventory to provide an audit trail of problem areas and trends, reports problems/discrepancies to management. Assist MHS with any issues relating to packing deliveries. Print or reprint UCC 128 labels when necessary. Create, Cancel, confirm with difference TO’s as requested. Validate batch, item and quantity on Contract packaging receipt against BOL. Filing completed paperwork. Researching for managers or other departments. As directed, conducts verifications of inventory received or packed for shipment to determine accuracy, validate procedures, and validate or recommend proper training of warehouse personnel. Monitor and reconcile aged in transit reports. All inventory discrepancies and 900 storage type account research. Processing customer returns. Follow established procedures to ensure all Finished Goods/Components are cycle counted and reconciled at designated intervals as outlined in the current SOP. Document and report all inventory errors throughout the course of work performed. Investigate and report to upper management and make authorized corrections of inventory discrepancies. Safely operate a forklift, stock picker and standup. Ensure effective utilization of production/warehouse area and control inventory counts. Meets optimum inventory performance objectives as defined by materials department. Coordinates physical inventory audits and accounting Assist with maintaining organization in the warehouse Maintain inventory records for daily counts. Other duties as assigned
