About The Position

Main Purpose: The Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Supervisor upholds the quality regulations of our company and supervises production processes to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations. This position is responsible for the supervision of a talented quality team. Essential Functions: Manage all quality related aspects and personnel for Enclosure scopes Manage the training of QC staff personnel Interface with coworkers and Client Quality representatives, attending meetings and audits as required Maintain control of the latest revisions of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions etc. Manage Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) on non-conforming work, maintaining the tracker log of Enclosure scope NCR Monitor for improvements to overall Enclosure fabrication and inspection process and activities Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow, prevent bottlenecks and ensure each stage of the manufacturing process flows smoothly into the next Set priorities for the team to ensure daily task completion, offering support when needed Monitor, track and meet project budgeted labor hours Ensure employee timecards are correct and labor hours are properly recorded, including rework Monitor processes to ensure quality standards are met Coach and lead the quality team Communicate with and assist other departments as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment for all employees Support continuous improvement Administer company policies consistently and fairly Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, specifically quality control
  • Read, write and speak proficient English
  • Ability to supervise multiple projects and departments simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable in quality control and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
  • Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, ensuring quality standards are met
  • Ability to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety and production
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience
  • Previous experience with generator enclosure quality control
