QA / QC Manager

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager with 5+ years of commercial construction experience. The QA/QC Manager will work closely with all members of the project team — including project managers, engineers, superintendents, and project accountants — to ensure the highest standards of quality across all construction activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA/QC Manager within the commercial construction industry.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of a project team.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex quality-related issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with construction management software is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, solutions-driven attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with government, military, or federal construction projects (Fort Bragg area experience is a plus).
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Review contract documents including drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality Control program that incorporates project specification requirements, installed work checklists, benchmarks, and mock-ups.
  • Review and evaluate QC programs of B2 Constructors subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Manage the implementation of the project's QC plan and ensure subcontractor compliance.
  • Conduct regular QC meetings and issue meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Review project specifications and submittals for compliance and accuracy.
  • Perform inspections of installed work to verify quality standards are met.
  • Provide training for jobsite personnel on QC processes and best practices.
  • Develop and manage defective item logs and oversee corrective actions.
  • Resolve complex quality-related field issues in collaboration with the design team, subcontractors, and inspectors.
  • Coordinate inspection activities with third-party inspectors and government agencies.
  • Participate in start-up and commissioning activities for MEP and low voltage systems.
  • Serve as a professional representative of B2 Constructors in all interactions with owners, design teams, and subcontractors.
