About The Position

In addition to Must Have skills, Develop and/or approve manufacturing inspection processes, equipment, tools, gauges, and fixtures for raw material, mechanical components, and mechanical assemblies Lead cross-functional technical reviews to obtain consensus for proposed manufacturing inspection methods, gauge designs and inspection equipment before build events Establish qualification processes for assembly fixtures, CNC fixtures, injection molding tools, stamping tools, etc. Select critical components for inspection equipment to ensure optimal measurement performance and capability Provide on-site management of suppliers to manage manufacturing bring-up including gauges, inspection equipment, fixtures, automation and measurement correlation between manufacturing sites Understand GD&T Program multi-sensor OMM and CMM machines, such as the Hexagon Optiv systems, based on drawings Recommend measurements for addressing dimensional tolerance concerns based on drawings and CAD Use Google Drive and other G Suite tools Debug issues with uploading data to data tables and servers with guidance from SWEs Provide regular updates to engineers using strong communication skills

Requirements

  • Experience in Metrology and Quality inspection & Quality control
  • Experience in Incoming Quality control (IQC) - Review IQC failures, and verify that inspection results are accurate or expected
  • Experience in generating and review of quality data for parts from Contract manufacturers (CM) and other Suppliers.
  • Experience in leading IQC daily stand-up meetings and manage daily assignments & providing weekly/monthly stats and metrics from IQC
  • Experience in determining quality requirements, evaluating metrology methods and expectations
  • Must be able to identify suitable tools and equipment to support new inspection requests and establish suitable inspection methods to help root cause quality issues
  • Coordinate and facilitate the dimensional measurement of parts received at CM for all modules.
  • Commonly used software's are PC DMIS and google suite
  • Help set quality requirements for new and incoming parts
  • Create and manage LT MRB for material reviews
