About The Position

QA Inspector Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions, a business unit of Curtiss-Wright, is looking for a QA Inspector. You will perform a variety of inspections, checks and tests for quality control for the manufacturing of products. You are familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. You will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You will perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision. You have a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. You will be responsible for accepting, rejecting and ordering rework of the item. Location: Chesapeake, VA Rate: $22.00 to $26.00 Please note that the rate range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in VA. Record - Complete Accept/Reject records on physical forms and/or electronic forms. Ship - Perform and complete final inspection requirements and forms. Maintain inspection equipment -- cage calibration, controls and records, etc. Utilize various equipment including, but not limited to: Micrometers, Verniers, Hardness Tester, portable CMM, etc. Operate material handling equipment (such as pallet jack, forklift, jib crane, overhead crane, etc.) within facility to position and transport work to or from work areas. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a machine shop environment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints/mechanical drawings.
Understanding of geometric tolerance.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain DoD security clearance.
