About The Position

Samples and inspects for the quality of finished good products. Performs inspections of filling/packaging lines. Performs a variety of routine paperwork-related duties as needed. Requirements

  • High school education, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to write legibly and communicate clearly.
  • Computer word processing, spreadsheet and database entry skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced setting with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to read fine print and distinguish color shades/hues.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift. Ability to climb stairs
  • Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects finished good products for conformance to finished goods product specifications.
  • Verifies current cleaning logs for accuracy and completeness
  • Pulls retain/lab samples for all finished good products.
  • Perform all pre-run check-off lists
  • Keep record of all inspections performed with adequate and appropriate documentation of events
  • Writing Rework Hold Reports if necessary
  • Operate a torque meter and scale consistent with proper user technique
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections performed and check-off lists finished
  • Review for accuracy previous inspections performed by self or other QA Tech's
  • Communicates with Supervisor, Coordinator, Machine Operator, and Line Associates pertinent inspection findings as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Teach/Instruct/Educate on issues and new or confusing processes during staff meeting
  • Maintains accurate records of all testing conducted for the lab.
  • Color testing and yearly certification
  • Maintains additional training in Master Control
  • Increase job knowledge by cross training with the QA Tech's when time permits
  • Helps to maintain the retains
  • Completes Delegate tasks
  • Ability to represent the department in a positive manner.
