About The Position

Hanover Foods Corporation Clayton, De is currently seeking a QA Inspector C 2nd shift. We offer a competitive rate of pay and a comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drugs, and 401K) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Inspects and records sanitation conditions prior to and during plant operations and reports same to HFC Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager when necessary. Samples and grades finished HFC product to determine quality Assigns grades, controls weight of packaged items, and records required data. Samples and performs analytical and organoleptic evaluations in process and performs finished product packaging checks for fill weight, seal integrity, and code. Ensures work area is kept clean and orderly in accordance with good housekeeping practices. Adheres to common safety practices and procedures. Responsible for execution of food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, HACCP, food safety, product quality, food security, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the QA Manager and/or Supervisor. Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or demonstrated proficiency through previous job experience and/or training in related performance responsibilities listed below.
  • Willing to work shift work and weekends when required
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in quality control is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good math and technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
