About The Position

Under the direction of the QE / Technical Lead, Inspector A is responsible for the inspection and testing of processes and products to ensure quality. Working with a variety of inspection equipment, methods, processes and products; QA Inspectors will ensure all proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain ISO and customer standards resulting in total compliance with the company quality policy. Full-Time (Custom Part-Time Shifts Available for Qualified Machinists) Salary Range: $23-$27 Hourly DOE Shifts Available: M-F 1st shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm 2nd shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm ($2.25 shift premium) Equipment you will work with: Caliper Micrometer Depth Micrometer Height & Thread Gages Pin & Ring Gages Drop Indicators Comparator Optical Comparator MicroVu CMM Keyance Oasis Zeis Roundness Checker Profilometer

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or G.E.D. plus 1+ year quality assurance experience
  • Possess general knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes
  • Mechanically and mathematically adept
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications
  • Must be quality conscious and in continual pursuit of improvement
  • Exhibit core values of integrity and accountability
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and efficient work area
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity
  • Demonstrates ability to read, write, speak, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet
  • Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit; to balance, stoop and crouch
  • Occasionally required to push, pull and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds from floor to table height
  • Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the quality record matrix and quality forms
  • Assist in the development of new work instructions and forms
  • Perform analysis on select processes and report findings
  • Recommend updated or new processes
  • Responsible for the detection of defective material and initiation of defective material reports
  • Assist in the quarantine of defective materials
  • Administer approved changes to the quality system
  • Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gaging equipment including comparator, micrometer, caliper, MicroVu, Oasis operation, hard gages, height gages GO/NO GO gages, thread gages, profilometer and roundness checkers
  • Accuracy verification of gages and measuring equipment
  • Assist in QA and ISO audits
  • All other duties as assigned
