About The Position
Determine percent of defect from representative samples Be fully versed on all SOP’s pertaining to your work area Be able to work primarily in refrigerated conditions all day Run select representative samples for examination Work with and communicate effectively with the entire Operations team Share best practices for proper handling with the Operations team Organize multiple tasks on a daily basis and adjust as needed Utilize USDA inspection process when necessary Communicate good and bad quality issues with Operation and Quality departments Communicate effectively with all departments Maintain awareness of food safety Perform other duties as requested by QA Manager, QA Superintendent or QA Supervisor
Requirements
- Operate heavy equipment
- Communicate well with others
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate with all team members
- Possess basic math skills
- Possess adequate hand dexterity to move objects
- Ability to multitask in an effective manner
- Working knowledge of computers, including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets, a plus
- Ability to solve problems and think independently
- Strong communication skills with all team members at the mill
