About The Position

This internship is designed as a learning-focused, project-based experience for undergraduate students. The QA Automation Intern will work on a defined project centered on automated testing of the Nucleus Security Application. Under close supervision and mentorship, the intern will learn foundational software testing concepts while contributing to a real-world application used by enterprise customers.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program with plans to graduate on or before June 2027
• Majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• Completion of introductory coursework in programming, information systems, or software engineering
• Previous internship, co-op, or equivalent experience in QA, Software Engineering or related field.
• Ability to communicate clearly, strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Due to business and regulatory requirements, we are only able to hire U.S. citizens

Nice To Haves

• Experience in usability, data accuracy, or software quality
• Understanding of automated testing principles
• Familiarity with Java and Selenium or other automated testing frameworks
• Exposure to cybersecurity or SaaS platforms
• Experience on an Agile Software team

Responsibilities

• Work on one or more well-scoped QA automation initiatives under the guidance of a mentor.
• Contribute to the automated test suite
• Improve test reliability and coverage
• Present to the engineering team what you automated, the challenges you addressed, the improvements made to the test suite, and what you learned about quality assurance and automation in a SaaS environment.
