About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Purple Greens Cashier/Food Service Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Food Services department. Purpose within the Organization: The purpose of this position is to assist the New fresh food restaurant on campus, Purple Greens, by working as a Food Service Worker.

Requirements

• Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Must have a Maricopa County Food Handler’s Card and non-slip shoes.
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service and/or food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides attentive and responsive customer service.
• May include operating a cash register and following all cash handling procedures as required.
• Will be responsible for serving customers on the line.
• Maintains required stock of products and may participate in ordering, inventory, and stocking activities.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations other equipment.
• Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
