About The Position

The Purchasing & Work Order Coordinator supports the efficiency of the supply chain and manufacturing processes by managing work order documentation, maintaining accurate supplier data in SAP, and ensuring timely communication of supplier acknowledgements. This role enables buyers and schedulers to focus on strategic activities by handling administrative and transactional responsibilities. This position is ideal for individuals pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field, or for those interested in developing into a Buyer or Scheduling role. It offers hands-on experience with SAP, supplier coordination, and manufacturing operations, providing a strong foundation for career growth within the supply chain function.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Print and distribute work orders to the manufacturing floor in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collect completed or updated work orders from production and ensure proper documentation and system updates
  • Enter and maintain supplier delivery dates in SAP as provided by the purchasing team
  • Confirm and track supplier order acknowledgements within SAP to ensure alignment with expected delivery timelines
  • Communicate discrepancies or missing acknowledgements to buyers for follow-up
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within SAP to support production planning and scheduling
  • Assist in organizing and streamlining work order and purchasing processes for improved efficiency
  • Support cross-functional coordination between purchasing, scheduling, and manufacturing
