About The Position

As a Purchasing Training Lead at Life Time, Inc., you will play a crucial role in training and educating the club operations leadership team members on the procure-to-pay process. You will be responsible for ensuring a deep understanding of the Workday ERP system, with a focus on purchasing: creating Requisitions, Receipts, and reviewing Invoices. You will partner closely with club operations leadership to develop a training module to present during their team member’s onboarding, ensuring the team member is set up for success when it comes to obtaining goods and services to the club they lead. You will build out metrics to provide effectiveness of training and determine what clubs or individuals could use additional training, while also using the KPI to identify areas of opportunity within the procurement process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 7+ years with previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
  • Expert within the procure to pay process
  • Expert within Workday and ServiceNow
  • Problem-solving skills with the capacity to handle escalated issues
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and in groups of all sizes
  • Able to conduct meetings with a clear & concise message, excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to create engaging and effective training materials
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel & PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent and hands-on training on Workday functionalities, guiding team members through our purchasing standard operating procedures.
  • Develop comprehensive training modules for the source-to-pay process in collaboration with the Life Time University team and deploy training.
  • Partner with operations leadership and the Human Relations department during the onboarding process for new team members or team member promotions.
  • Foster strong internal relationships, including operations leadership, the Life Time University team, and other corporate and club stakeholders.
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the procurement process and provide solutions by partnering with the appropriate departments (Shared Services, Procurement, Workday, Operations, etc.).
  • Clearly articulate the differences between ServiceChannel orders and Workday orders, emphasizing when and why each order type should be used.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop solutions for escalated issues, ensuring continuous improvement in training programs.
  • Maintain open communication to address concerns, gather feedback, and continuously improve training strategies.
  • Develop a KPI for procurement compliance using Workday and ServiceNow data to show improvement in overall procurement knowledge being retained.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with organizational policies and procedures.
