About The Position

The Purchasing Supervisor oversees purchasing & Inventory processes, and may direct or inform warehouse functions.

Essential Functions:

Lead, instruct, and/or review monthly inventory processes, provide instructions on corrections and re-completions to peers and leaders.
Develop and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on department-specific programs and processes as instructed by supervisor (ie, Birch Street/BSS, inventory, etc.).
Ensure all orders being received are attached to a purchase order in internal Purchasing software (BirchStreet / BSS).
Maintain stock of commissary by placing orders and ensuring product is being rotated.
May assist with staffing of hourly associates, including finding replacements for short-notice call-outs/absences.
Maintain positive working relationships with internal & external customers.
Inventory duties such as: task delegation to other hourly associates, location counting assignments, and creating/communicating timelines per month.
Ensure signatures are captured on all required End of Month & QRE reports.
Data entry: weekly purchases into department specific tracking program (Excel/”declining balance”) to monitor expenses, labor, sales.
Process vendor invoices for payment; reconcile billing v. agreed pricing v. order v. receipt.
Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation; request open invoices when necessary.
Capture and record monthly waste and transferred product.
Assist in preparation of Month End financial reports.
Attend in-service and/or safety meetings as required.
Maintain clean and safe work environment; perform all duties safely and responsibly.
Perform ad hoc, exceptional, and additional duties as needed.
