Thompson Palm Springs is currently recruiting for a Purchasing Supervisor to join the hotel's Purchasing team! This role will report to the Director of Finance. The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for checking in all incoming products and guest packages. This person is also responsible for shipping guest packages, checking in vendors and contractors, and issuing guest passes. This person must be able to lift a moderate weight and must have good communication skills. This is a great opportunity to get a start with Hyatt as a Purchasing Supervisor. This is a non-exempt (hourly) role. The budgeted salary for this position is $24.00 per hour. This is the pay for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.

Requirements

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Purchasing or a related field is required
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Strong business relationship skills.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Word & MS Excel
  • Ability to lift a moderate to heavy amount of weight

Nice To Haves

  • Previous purchasing/receiving experience preferred
  • Prior Birch Street - Procure to Pay System experience preferred
  • Experience communicating and working with senior hotel management
  • Previous Hospitality experience is preferred
