The Purchasing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the Operations side of our organization. Requirements

  • 2+ years of Purchasing or Procurement Experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle or other ERP/CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Effective conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an administrative or office support role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and submit purchase orders, track orders to ensure on-time delivery, and process receiving documents.
  • Resolve receipt and invoice discrepancies and maintain accurate supplier records.
  • Provide weekly open purchase order reports to each line of business and facilitate timely close outs through scheduled meetings.
  • Receive and disperse materials to various lines of business on the Lunenburg site.
  • Run errands for parts and supplies as needed.
  • Organize training materials, maintain safety records, and assist with internal safety audits.
  • Perform data entry, update records, and manage internal communications including memos and emails.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for various teams.
  • Participate in weekly training to learn scale operator duties and provide coverage during absences.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and team activities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall office efficiency.
