About The Position

Oneida Innovations Group (OIG) is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist with at least 5 years' experience in administering commercial business procurement, supply chain, material handling, and logistics functions in support of U.S. Government contracts. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all supply chain management activities, working to ensure that OTS receives the best value and quality possible, while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal regulations and contract specifications. Role responsibilities require that the majority of work be performed onsite in the Oneida, NY area. Some degree of remote work/hybrid schedule can be accommodated based on evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, and/or Logistics supporting U.S. Government contracts.
  • Associate's Degree or Certificate in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Detailed understanding of FAR, DFARS, NIST, and ITAR requirements.
  • Proficiency in procurement processes, including contract evaluations, RFQs, price analysis, supply chain management and scheduling.
  • Experience in resolving delivery issues, quality concerns, and product obsolescence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Supply Chain management experience in the technology sector, particularly Information Technology, Software and Software Licensing (e.g. EULAs), Computer Networking equipment.
  • Proficient in U.S Government RMA processes.
  • U.S. Government experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management (either as active duty military or Government civilian).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure OTS' compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Develop and administer procurement processes related to requisitions, competitive pricing/analysis, and purchase orders in accordance with applicable FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Manage source selection by identifying qualified suppliers, issuing Requests for Quote (RFQs), price analysis, etc., while ensuring compliance with applicable contract requirements.
  • Inventory management, to include the use of Item Unique Identification and Valuation (IUID) as required. Manage logistics and inventory workflows according to government contracting requirements and standards.
  • Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes in accordance with FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive efficient procurement processes, timely deliveries, and resolution of quality or delivery issues.
  • Manage multiple contracts and purchase orders, scheduling/prioritizing based on business need, while working to ensure best value and quality of products and services.
  • Work closely with OTS' Management, Legal and Contract Administration functions to ensure all procurement and supply chain activities maintain full compliance with applicable contract requirements and U.S. Government rules and regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Suite products for reporting and procurement tasks.
