JOB PURPOSE: Develop purchasing strategies working alongside the purchasing team in their daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing products, equipment, and services. This Position will follow up with receiving to make sure the purchased merchandise is being received and with inventory for the understanding of requisition. With the purpose of making sure all the procurement, receiving and inventory stock processes are being implemented correctly, furthermore into the payment processing.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1+ Years of any of the following: Procurement, inventory or receiving experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Follow up with daily procurement, receiving and inventory activities.
Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
Managing the procurement for manufacturing equipment and machinery.
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.
