About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist manages the flow of supplies and specialty products to ensure materials are available for patient care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday out of our Blain surgery center. Schedule will be during center hours, varying between 6:30am-4:30pm.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience in materials management related position such as purchasing, inventory management, or hospital supply chain

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily operations
  • Manages the purchase order process, receiving, and replenishment of all supplies for the surgery center
  • Identify, resolve, and communicate product availability issues appropriately
  • Coordinates inventory management activities at the surgery center
  • Oversees and coordinates physical inventory process at the sites
  • Manages par areas and par levels within the surgery center and maintains accuracy in the inventory system
  • Review and complete purchase orders to align with contract compliance, product standardization, and conformity to policies.
  • Confirm order status, resolve daily issues, and communicate with internal customers.
  • Complete purchase orders for implants and conduct chart audits for accuracy.
  • Maintain positive relations with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Assist with Supply Chain Operations initiatives including value analysis and product trials.
  • Maintain reports including open PO and receipt accrual
  • Process transactions for equipment and instrument procurement and maintenance.
  • Review and facilitate specialized tissue, implant, and supply requests from OR staff/surgeons.
  • Work with Accounts Payable to identify and resolve PO and invoice errors.
  • Ability to lift objects more than 25 pounds and less than 60. Able to push/pull objects more than 50 pounds on a cart
  • Any and all other duties as assigned
