About The Position

Apex Sign Group is looking for a strong, solutions-focused Purchasing Manager to jump on board with a fast-growing company . This role is ideal for someone with a solid purchasing, procurement, manufacturing, or logistics background who can work with urgency, stay organized under pressure, and make smart business decisions in a fast-paced environment. The Purchasing Manager plays a key role in supporting production by managing outsource partners, sourcing materials and services, negotiating pricing, and making sure projects stay on track from start to finish. This person must be confident, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of quality, cost, or deadlines.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, manufacturing, logistics, or a related field
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in the best interest of the company

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent required; business degree or trade school background preferred
• Sign industry or similar a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance, sales, customer service and production teams to identify work that should be outsourced based on capacity, capability, cost, and timing.
• Select and manage vendors and subcontractors based on product fit, location, freight, quality, cost, finance terms and performance.
• Negotiate financial payouts, issue purchase orders, and secure competitive terms that support company margins.
• Oversee outsourced projects from kickoff through completion to ensure they are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and keep clear records of purchasing activity, supplier performance, and project status.
• Support estimating and operations by sourcing quotes, managing supplier responses, and helping ensure the business has the tools, materials, and supplies needed to succeed.
