About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Purchasing/Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, vendor development, and procurement activities supporting our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong negotiation abilities, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong sense of urgency in driving supplier performance and material availability.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years purchasing experience; manufacturing experience required.
Knowledge of purchasing practices and domestic/international purchasing regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong sense of urgency with attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with cross-functional teams.
Associates degree required, bachelors degree in business or related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mechanical components in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing and vendor development efforts to support manufacturing operations.
Work with domestic and international suppliers to negotiate contracts, improve quality, and enhance service levels.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Sales to support projects and business goals.
Identify new suppliers and materials; manage supplier qualification and selection processes.
Negotiate competitive pricing and maintain cost-effective supplier relationships.
Develop supplier contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and requirements.
Conduct supplier visits as needed (domestic and international travel may be required).
Resolve supplier-related quality, delivery, and service issues promptly.
Support quoting efforts for new business and cost-reduction initiatives.
Develop and maintain procurement procedures and policies.
Oversee supplier approval and development processes.
