The Enterprise Technology Manager will be responsible for leading and executing the procurement strategy for indirect goods and services across the organization. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and collaborating closely with various internal departments to meet their needs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of indirect spend categories, and proven experience in managing procurement processes and a team of supply chain employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with a significant focus on indirect categories.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sourcing strategies that delivered significant cost savings and value.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Master's degree in a related field or MBA.
  • Experience with specific indirect categories relevant to the company (e.g., IT software/hardware, marketing services, engineering and professional services, etc.).
  • Experience implementing or optimizing procurement technologies or processes.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development & Execution: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned indirect spend categories (e.g., IT, Marketing, Transportation, Engineering and Professional Services, Construction, etc.). Analyze market trends, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate total cost of ownership.
  • Sourcing & Negotiation: Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including defining requirements with stakeholders, conducting RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ) processes, evaluating proposals, and leading complex negotiations with suppliers to achieve favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key indirect suppliers. Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs, conduct regular business reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing, HR, Operations) to understand their requirements, align procurement activities with business objectives, and ensure timely and effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the creation, review, execution, and management of contracts for indirect goods and services. Ensure contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements, and manage contract renewals or terminations.
  • Cost Management & Savings: Identify, analyze, and pursue opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement across indirect spend categories. Track, report, and forecast savings achieved through strategic sourcing and negotiation efforts.
  • Process & Policy Management: Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency using procurement systems and tools.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks within the indirect supply chain, including financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals. Provide guidance, set performance objectives, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present reports on spend analysis, savings performance, supplier performance, and market trends to senior management and stakeholders.
