Requirements

A skilled team player.
Proven experience in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain roles.
Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build rapport with suppliers.
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Valid driver's license.

Skilled trades background (HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical) preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
Coordinate with production team to ensure timely availability of materials.
Identify suppliers and obtain quotes for materials and components.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Place purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
Work closely with accounts payable to process invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternative suppliers as needed.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.
Generate reports on inventory status, purchasing activities, and cost analysis.
Analyze data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed purchasing decisions.
