The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing the procurement, distribution, and inventory control of products across multiple departments. This role ensures timely and accurate purchasing, maintains inventory integrity, and supports operational continuity through effective coordination, documentation, and quality checks. This position plays a critical role in balancing supply and demand, maintaining accurate records, and partnering cross-functionally to support production and business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, purchasing, or inventory control preferred
  • Working knowledge of purchasing and inventory processes and best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions
  • Familiarity with process improvement concepts and continuous improvement methods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage quotes, purchase orders, and receipts for inventory, equipment, and supplies
  • Coordinate delivery timelines and monitor order status with suppliers
  • Support supplier sourcing and communicate material needs with internal teams
  • Maintain inventory levels for raw materials, finished goods, and shipping supplies
  • Perform cycle count entries and support inventory audits
  • Input and maintain ERP transactions and documentation (drawings, specifications, build sheets, inspection and nonconformance records)
  • Identify and address vendor quality issues or specification deviations
  • Support cross-functional coordination and perform other duties as needed
