Job Responsibilities: POSITION OVERVIEW The Purchasing Intern assumes supports continuous improvement projects to support the team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Currently Attending a College or University with focus on purchasing, supply chain, or MP&L field
• Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
• Strong excel ability and working knowledge of SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Create automated resin forecasting / price tracking tool / Sharepoint site.
• Develop template and review sourcing cost cards from the divisions to identify gaps from best-in-class market pricing for injection molded parts.
• Create tool to provide visibility for future sourcing for the next 6-12 months to maximize sourcing leverage for the group.
• Other continuous improvements projects identified by the purchasing leadership team.
