About The Position

The Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gourmet market by handling purchasing activities, coordinating with vendors, and supporting administrative tasks in the office. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or office administration (preferred but not required).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willingness to learn internal systems.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely approvals.
  • Source, compare, and negotiate with vendors for best pricing and quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with store managers to identify purchasing needs.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records in the system.
  • Assist with invoice reconciliation and resolving discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
  • Support the office team with administrative tasks (filing, scheduling, document preparation).
  • Communicate with suppliers to track deliveries and resolve order issues.
  • Prepare purchasing reports and updates for management.
