VSC Fire & Security in Springfield, Virginia is seeking candidates for the position of Purchasing Coordinator.

Requirements

Two to five years of related experience with logistics and ordering.
Excellent record keeping skills and knowledge of how a warehouse and job sites operate.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Professional and friendly demeanor for internal and external transactions.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
Eagerness for professional development and growth.
Ability to pass various background checks.
Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, order, and record material handling, placing product orders, receiving, storage, and record keeping for meeting needs of division projects.
Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.
Review all receiving reports, checks bills of lading and freight bills for correct quantity and items delivered. Document all shipments and withdrawals and inspect for damage or errors.
