About The Position

American Trailer World (“ATW”) is a leading diversified manufacturer, retailer and distributer of professional and consumer grade trailers, parts, and accessories in North America. ATW is North America’s largest vertically integrated trailer manufacturer, with an estimated market share of approximately 30% in the professional grade trailer industry. The company was formed through the combination of Big Tex and American Trailer Works in 2016. It conducts its operations and sells its products primarily through several well-recognized brands in the industry including Big Tex Trailers, CM Trailers, PJ Trailers, Carry-On Trailer, Trailer World, TexTrail and RC Trailers. Its products are used in the agriculture, construction, landscaping, recreational, automotive, and general industrial markets. ATW is owned by Bain Capital, a global private equity firm headquartered in Boston and with approximately $80 billion in assets under management. we are seeking a purchasing coordinator to join our Big Tex Trailer World team. The Purchasing Coordinator will be instrumental in purchasing and supply management. This position is responsible for receiving and processing purchase orders, maintaining appropriate inventory.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in purchasing/supply chain management environment.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
• Service oriented with the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Team-oriented with a focus on working in a collaborative environment.
• Efficient & accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (listening, questioning, conflict resolution).
• Good attitude with a high level of integrity and alignment with our mission, vision, values & operating principles.

Nice To Haves

• TakeStock experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Buys and manages inventory for vendors.
• Maintains vendor and product identification information in TakeStock.
• Provides PO (Purchasing Orders) general administrative and clerical support.
• Participates in the inventory process.
• Completes purchase orders and manages the order entry process, communicating and resolving problems.
• Handles correspondences and documents and maintains filing and data systems.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external partners and acts as a resource for all PO needs.
• Order trailers and write PO’s.
• Other accountabilities, as assigned.
