About The Position

The Purchasing & Logistics Specialist is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow to support manufacturing operations. This role plans, procures, expedites, and coordinates materials required for production while proactively identifying and resolving shortages before they impact output.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 1–3 years relevant experience preferred
  • ERP/MRP systems
  • Microsoft Office
  • Problem-solving, communication, organization
  • Ability to manage priorities and work collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials
  • Issue and manage purchase orders
  • Evaluate pricing, lead times, supplier performance
  • Maintain material availability
  • Align with production schedules
  • Anticipate shortages
  • Track and expedite materials
  • Own shortage resolution
  • Coordinate inbound material flow
  • Monitor and report risks
  • Collaborate across departments
  • Communicate risks and plans
  • Improve processes and supplier performance
