About The Position

Fishman Flooring Solutions, an industry leader and a Top Workplace for the past 7 years, is a 100% employee-owned company with over 100 years in business. They are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join their procurement team. This is a fully remote position, but candidates must reside within a 2-hour commuting distance of the corporate headquarters. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for buying and optimizing inventory across the company's network of branches, overseeing the order process for assigned product lines, establishing strong vendor relationships, and executing purchasing objectives.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Minimum of two (2) years of purchasing/planning experience, preferably within a distribution company.
Able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Analytical nature with the knowledge to interpret data to make decisions
Ability to effectively resolve issues
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency, including prior experience with an ERP system and Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of flooring products.
Experience with demand forecasting and other buying principles.

Responsibilities

Manage supplier relationships through regular communication.
Resolve discrepancies with internal and external partners.
Maintain supplier price lists.
Process purchase orders, ensure timely delivery of materials, and handle demand forecasting.
Work cross-functionally with sales, accounting, and operations to support an efficient supply chain and high level of customer service.
Multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Commit to expanding product knowledge through training and independent research.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and enhance the overall purchasing process.
