About The Position

Sea Fox Boat Works is a leading saltwater fishing boat manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and craftsmanship. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our Warehouse Department. The Purchasing Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that the right materials and services are procured at the right time and at the right cost. You will be responsible for placing and tracking purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet production demands. This role requires cross-department collaboration and strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Fishbowl and QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Marine industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage an accurate vendor database.
  • Create, issue, and monitor purchase orders using internal systems.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate to support manufacturing and operational needs.
  • Actively manage open purchase orders and maintain communication with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Expedite materials when necessary and provide accurate ETA updates.
  • Adjust purchasing volumes based on inventory trends, supply availability, or product changes.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with orders, invoices, and shipments.
  • Work with vendors to arrange repairs, replacements, or credits for non-conforming items.
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital purchasing records and reports.
  • Prepare internal communications, reports, and forms as needed.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors and management on procurement-related matters.
  • Support additional tasks and duties as required.
