About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with ERP systems, computer skills, and purchasing. As a Purchasing Associate this position will be responsible for the purchase and control of inventory by utilizing an ERP system to satisfy customer requirements and prevent stock-outs. The Purchasing Associate will work directly with branch managers to fulfill inventory requirements at their assigned branches. Requirements

High school Diploma/GED
Familiarity with any ERP system; computer skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and Detail-Oriented
Team Player
Self-Motivated

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferred

Responsibilities

Be a reliable single point of contact for your assigned branches
Analyze branch inventory requirements by reviewing suggested purchase orders
Create, process, and monitor purchase orders and communicate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
Enforce cost-saving measures
Monitor and work to eliminate slow-moving or obsolete inventory
Collaborate with other departments to improve end-to-end supply chain
Help resolve A/P discrepancies as necessary
Perform other related duties as assigned
