Summary

Purchasing Assistant works within the Purchasing department to provide support for the production and facilities team by processing purchasing documents and responding to related inquiries.

Requirements

• 1-3 years previous experience in Sales/Administrative position
• Proficiency in Excel is required
• Minimum Associate Degree preferred
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service skills are a must.

• Successful applicant must complete a pre-employment drug test, background check, and serve a probation period through a temporary agency.
• Have a current Driver’s License; Have good and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Place and track orders
• Review work orders for accuracy
• Assist with inventory management/cycle counts/physical inventory.
• Identify and research customer specific requirements.
• Identify and implement cost saving opportunities.
• Supplier development and improvement
• Work with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
• Maintain knowledge of market/industry trends.
• Work safely at all times.
