About The Position

Duties of a Purchasing Assistant may include the following but are not limited to: Enter departmental requisitions into the E-Req system system and generate purchase orders in accordance with established procedures. File and maintain related documentation. · Perform a variety of administrative duties as needed, including filing, scanning, and maintaining all purchasing documentation within the shared network system. · Provide a wide range of administrative and professional support services, as assigned, to department heads and administrative officers within the LISVH. · Assist in resolving funding-related issues, coordinate efforts to minimize the lapse of funds, and address Accounts Payable concerns in a timely and efficient manner. · Assist with organizing and maintaining inventories of medical and non-medical supplies, including establishing par levels and supporting scheduled supply distribution. · Develop standing orders for all items used on a repetitive basis. · Assists with the inspection and accurate receipts of all incoming materials for the Home in accordance with established procedures. · Sorts and delivers mail daily throughout the facility, as needed, and perform other miscellaneous duties as related to Purchasing and Central Supply. · Communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of administration and departmental staff. · Other duties as assigned and related to procurement by the Director of Purchasing

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Business or related field and two years administrative experience.
  • Strong computer and customer service skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience working with purchase orders, requisitions, invoices and vendor contracts.
