Overview: The Purchasing Assistant supports the Purchasing Agent by performing various purchasing functions, including processing and expediting orders promptly. This role also involves maintaining the Materials Management System related to purchasing activities. What you will get: Pay range of $21.15 – 30.62/ hour + based on experience. Department that supports you as you do your best work. Work/Life balance to love what you do and where you live. What's Available: 0.8 – 1.0 FTE (32 -40 hours per week). Scheduled Monday – Friday, typically working 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in supply chain/ purchasing or related field
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of purchasing functions including processing and expediting orders in a timely manner, delivery to departments, stock and restocking of materials.
- Maintains the Materials Management System based on standards
- May float between medical center campus (Grant Blvd) and health care center campus (Shields Avenue).
