The Purchasing Assistant supports purchasing activities and Corporate Buyers. Key responsibilities include obtaining and verifying vendor acknowledgements, providing sales with purchase order updates, and proactively assisting with cost and delivery date updates. The role also involves reconciling unbalanced invoices with buyers, collaborating with the receiving department for necessary paperwork, and establishing relationships with vendor inside sales contacts. Additionally, the assistant will help with consignment management and system updates, maintain reports and file records, and record On-Time Delivery data. The position requires an understanding of corporate objectives and effective communication with internal customers and the supply base, while also meeting TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies.
