About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Analyst to join a growing procurement team and play a key role in strengthening sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing analytics. This position goes beyond transactional buying and focuses on data-driven decision-making, supplier development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline (more experience can be considered in lieu of a degree).

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree would be nice.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, parts, and supplies in a cost-effective and timely manner while ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in alignment with negotiated contracts and company policies.
  • Analyze purchasing and spend data from ERP systems to support sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and reporting needs.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based reports (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) to support purchasing decisions and management visibility.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure the best overall value across cost, quality, delivery, and service.
  • Support full cycle purchasing activities, including sourcing, supplier development, and vendor onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and finance to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely issue resolution.
  • Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement tools to minimize total cost of ownership.
  • Lead or support resolution of defective material issues, including DMRs and RMAs, in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Take ownership of assigned commodities or categories and support continuous improvement initiatives.
