About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Buyer / Purchasing Analyst to join a growing procurement team and play a key role in strengthening sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing analytics. This position goes beyond transactional buying and focuses on data-driven decision-making, supplier development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related roles.
Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
Experience working within ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline (more experience can be considered in lieu of a degree).

Nice To Haves

Advanced Degree would be nice.
Experience with Power BI.
Experience with SAP.

Responsibilities

Procure materials, parts, and supplies in a cost-effective and timely manner while ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders in alignment with negotiated contracts and company policies.
Analyze purchasing and spend data from ERP systems to support sourcing strategies, cost optimization, and reporting needs.
Build and maintain Excel-based reports (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) to support purchasing decisions and management visibility.
Evaluate supplier quotations to ensure the best overall value across cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Support full cycle purchasing activities, including sourcing, supplier development, and vendor onboarding.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and finance to improve purchasing processes, reduce costs, and optimize inventory levels.
Work closely with finance to ensure accurate invoice processing and timely issue resolution.
Utilize ERP systems (SAP preferred) and procurement tools to minimize total cost of ownership.
Lead or support resolution of defective material issues, including DMRs and RMAs, in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
Take ownership of assigned commodities or categories and support continuous improvement initiatives.
