About The Position

This position is located on-site in Dixon, IL. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchasing Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in enhancing our sourcing capabilities, mentoring team members, and driving supplier performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, data analysis, and supplier relationship management, with a passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain analysis.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with negotiating favorable pricing
Ability to lead and mentor others in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment sectors preferred.
Made2Manage experience a plus

Responsibilities

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier teams to support product development and procurement strategies.
Mentor and support Buyers and Purchasing Assistants, fostering skill development and team growth.
Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Support ERP system utilization and data integrity (Made2Manage experience a plus).
Assist in the development of long-term sourcing strategies aligned with company goals.
Send out monthly forecast to vendors
Discuss defective or unacceptable goods with supplier and implement corrective action
