About The Position

SUMMARY: The Purchasing Agent is responsible for reviewing purchase contracts for goods, act as liaison with vendors and department managers, as well maintaining supplies by monitoring volume and department needs. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies through placing orders, Coordinating delivery of all materials and make final supplier selection. Evaluate quotations and review for completeness. Act as liaison between various vendors and the casino. Review purchase contracts and purchase orders, follow-up on back orders, monitor and communicate price discrepancies and keep records of shortages, credits, damages and returns. Meet with suppliers and contractors to discuss, develop and/or revise purchase orders. Develop and maintain files of vendor catalogs, samples and business directories. Prepare monthly status reports. Assist all department managers in their purchasing needs. Other duties assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software systems such as Purchase order
  • Prior purchasing experience for multi-faceted organization.
  • Ability to obtain a Class A gaming license.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with management and outside vendors.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and any shift.
  • Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
  • Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.
