Mungo Homes has an opening for a Purchasing Agent on our team in the Greenville, NC market! This position is responsible for complete cost management support of assigned profit centers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (performs other duties as assigned) Cultivating new potential trade partners and maintaining existing trade relationships Job starts – PO reviews within 72 hours of notification from operation Generate purchase orders for new starts Review POs and start sheet for accuracy Review plot plans and marked plans for accuracy (optional but best practice) Correct issues before job release Research and resolve vendor disputes; including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies Manage all contract documents including the preparation of plans and documentation for bid process; verify accuracy and completeness of all documents Coordinate bid process for new subdivisions including developing bid packages with plans, scopes-of-work and standard and optional features; receive, review, and approve price quotes/bids Assist in base cost and option price analysis (more emphasis in new communities) Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy Re-bid contracts with vendors once pricing has expired or an increase is requested Special projects and assignments Bid new plans, new options and plan changes, review bids for accuracy and enter in to KOVA Miscellaneous purchasing support Change Order job revisions Model Home Discounts Business Unit - Mungo Homes The Mungo family started building new homes in Columbia, South Carolina in 1954, and now builds in Markets throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia.
