Join Oshkosh Aerotech as a Purchasing Agent, responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and services required to support warehouse and operational activities at the IAH Airport location. This role ensures timely, cost-effective purchasing while maintaining compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Availability to work day or night shift including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or airport operations.
  • Familiarity with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain processes

Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures
  • Issue purchase orders and track order status to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in ERP and inventory systems
  • Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and finance teams to support material requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with demand planning as needed
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment
  • Support supplier performance and maintain professional vendor relationships
  • Comply with all Oshkosh Corporation safety, quality, and ethical standards
