The Purchasing Agent is responsible for placing orders, monitoring the supply process, communicating with vendors, notifying the ships, spas and resorts of delivery details and resolving discrepancies. Essential Functions Manage the cycle and emergency stock orders process from requisition of purchase order to delivery to vessels. Manage vendor performance by P.O. Manage the sourcing of out-of-stock items and substitution options upon request from the Manager. Update Purchase and Transfer Orders in Epicor to reflect short shipments from vendors and warehouse. Communicate stock delivery notifications to all vessels. Sourcing projects as designated by the Manager. Communicate with spa managers to resolve all open P.O.'s within the smart system. Timely review Past Due Report received from warehouse and update with required information. Work closely with the Inventory Manager in assisting in quarterly review and clarification of all P.O.'s. Receives guidance with respect to general objectives; in the majority of tasks and projects assigned, determine methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments; operate within specific policy guidelines. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Other duties as assigned.
