About The Position

Overview Department: Pharmacy Schedule: Full time days, 40 hours weekly Facility: Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center Location: Aurora, IL, 60506 Responsibilities Prepares and processes purchase orders for medications and other products. Monitors, standardizes, and maintains inventory for products used within the Pharmacy Department. Performs product evaluations, controls costs, and par levels. Maintains communications with appropriate personnel regarding status of items on backorder. Maintains expertise in material management software, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Anticipates specialty needs and ensures availability of supplies. Ensures medications and supplies are available for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required. 3. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required. 4. At least 2 years of pharmacy purchasing and inventory management experience preferred. 5. Undergraduate degree or PTCB certification in Supply Chain and Inventory Management preferred. 6. Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred. 7. 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility) 8. Working knowledge of computers and basic computer programs including Excel and Word. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $20.06 to $29.24. Requirements
