About The Position

The Purchasing Agent Intern will gather and compare quotes for goods and services in accordance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist in supporting the development and implementation of purchasing processes across departments for corporate operations. Request and compile quotes for goods and services in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Support coordination with department managers to monitor and maintain inventory levels. Assist in evaluating vendors based on pricing, reliability, service quality, and transaction history. Observe and support vendor communications, including discussions related to pricing and available discounts. Review purchasing documents for completeness and accuracy. Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture meeting. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of purchasing or supply chain principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current college student or recent graduate with a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
