About The Position

The Wah-Zha-Zhe Health Center (WZZHC) Purchased Referred Care Department provides Medical referrals for patients requiring additional care not available at the WZZHC. The PRC Technician position is a team member of a well-established Purchased Referred Care Team that processes the information along with the referral which enables our patients to receive the much needed services provided at other facilities. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
1 or more years of experience in Health Care, Clerical or a Referral writing/processing referrals required
Intermediate knowledge of basic medical terminology
Intermediate proficiency in computer processing of word documents and excel spreadsheets
Requires thorough knowledge of the Privacy Act of 1974 and HIPPA regulations
Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Osage Nation
Must maintain patient confidentiality, personal integrity, professionalism and ethics
Requires a high level of problem-solving skills and time management
Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
Requires good interpersonal communication and team ability to work as a leader or team member
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
