About The Position

The Kearney Companies is a family-owned civil site and underground utilities contractor based in Riverview, FL. With over 65 years of experience, we are committed to delivering high-quality services across a variety of construction projects. We are a 6-day-a-week operation, with most of our field employees averaging 50-56 hours per week. We are seeking skilled and experienced Punch Out Foreman to oversee our punch out of civil construction projects and ensure they are completed safely, on time, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to quality workmanship. We are seeking Foremen in the following fields: Punch Out

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Foreman in the respective field.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • OSHA: 1 year (Required)
  • Supervising experience: 1 year (Required)
  • Leadership: 1 year (Required)
  • Ability to Commute: Riverview, FL (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Install Gate Valves
  • Install Valve Can Extensions
  • Pour Valve Pads
  • Pour Fire Hydrant Pads
  • Install Brass Traps
  • Wire Box Installs
  • General Storm & Sanitary Cleaning
  • Storm and Sanitary Infiltration/Exfiltration repair
  • Cut Down to Grade with Concrete Collar
  • Water Meter Box Installation
  • Lead a team of workers involved in the respective field. This involves assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently. You will also be responsible for training new team members, monitoring their performance, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Establish work priorities; monitors work in progress and assists when necessary; ensures workers follow safe practices and departmental policies and procedures
  • Conduct detailed inspections of the project to identify incomplete or deficient work, ensuring that it meets the project's specifications and quality standards.
  • Responsible for job performance, safety audits, and enforcing company policies and procedures including training, orientation, discipline, etc.
  • Will need to effectively communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on respective projects, report any issues or concerns, and coordinate activities, as necessary. Collaboration with other construction crews or trades may be required to ensure the overall success of the project.
  • Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Analyzes job production reports to ensure production is within budget.
  • Enters, reviews, and approves employee time, and crew production daily.
  • Completes & submits all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professional relationship with owner, inspectors, and other clients.
  • Ability to work long hours, nights, and weekends when necessary.
  • Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Other tasks assigned by Superintendent.
