About The Position

Evac North America is seeking a full-time Pump Mechanic/Technician for their Cherry Valley, IL location. The role requires strong mechanical experience (machine and/or motor repair), but no prior experience with centrifugal pumps is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to military contracts handled at this location.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, machine repair center, or facility/general maintenance.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; team player; effective communication and coordination with internal customers.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, schematics, and drawings.
  • General knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office software, Adobe software, CAD software, and company business system software.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wiring electrical motors.
  • Experience in pump repair/overhaul.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul and test centrifugal pumps and other products, including cleaning, disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing.
  • Operate equipment during overhaul such as parts washing machine, bead blasting machine, lathe, jib crane, forklift, and test stand.
  • Adhere to established procedures for testing and assembly.
  • Create detailed pump inspection and test reports.
  • Provide backup support for production assembly and inspection.
  • Handle manufacturing orders as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead.
  • Local Travel on occasion (<10%).
