About The Position

The Pump Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of pump and valve equipment at various customer locations. This role requires the ability to efficiently repair and rebuild a diverse range of equipment, utilizing precision measuring devices, testing equipment, and various tools. The technician will travel extensively throughout the client's geographic territory, often needing to stoop, kneel, climb, and crawl in confined spaces and restricted customer areas. Key responsibilities also include acting as a technical consultant and liaison with customer management, providing ongoing service and support, and maintaining an inventory of spare parts to minimize equipment downtime. Adherence to all health and safety rules and regulations, along with updating and maintaining administrative records, are essential. The position may also involve performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate competency in commercial/ Industrial plumbing, electrical, motor controls, repair and maintenance of pumps and rotating equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM, instruction and safety manuals, etc.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and doing the job right the first time
  • Knowledge of Electrical and control circuits
  • Excellent attitude and customer orientation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
  • Reside near company location and willingness to travel within client territory
  • Must have valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Check, trouble shoot and repair pump and valve equipment at customer locations
  • Efficiently repair and rebuild a variety of equipment
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices, testing equipment and tools
  • Travel throughout client geographic territory with the ability to stoop, kneel, climb and crawl in confined spaces and access customer premise restricted areas
  • Act as a technical consultant and liaison with customer management and counterparts while providing service and support to customer sites
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts necessary to minimize equipment downtime and maximize customer asset utilization
  • Observe all health and safety rules and regulations
  • Update and maintain administrative records
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned
