About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Pulmonary / Critical Care Physician in Monongahela, PA, covering a hospital inpatient and ICU setting. The coverage period is from May 26 to May 29, 2026, with clinical shifts from 7:00 AM until completion of rounding and night beeper call. The role involves continuous call during the assignment with callback as needed. Patient demographics are adults, with a volume of 15–18 inpatients and an ICU census of approximately 4–5 patients. Duties include admissions, rounding, phone consults, and managing a case mix of pulmonary and critical care, including ventilator management, bronchoscopy, and line placement. The facility has 200 beds and uses Meditech EMR. Specialty backup includes NP, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, nutrition, and pharmacy, supported by a multidisciplinary care team. The reason for coverage is vacation. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available in approximately 2 weeks with a clean file, and full credentialing taking 60–90 days.

Requirements

• Active PA license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years
• DEA
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Comfortable with ICU and pulmonary procedures
• Arterial line placement
• Central venous (CVP) line placement
• Bronchoscopy (including bedside/toilet bronchoscopy)
• Ventilator management
