About The Position

Entry level, position responsible for merchandising assigned beverage locations as required at retail outlets that sell Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Company products. Essential duties and responsibilities include building and maintaining product displays in compliance with Company standards, maintaining appropriate product levels in beverage sections and throughout assigned accounts to include shelf allocation and cold drink equipment. The role requires maintaining a clean, neat appearance and courteous businesslike conduct at all times, adhering to the Company Appearance Standards Policy, and wearing Company provided uniforms or appropriate dress as instructed by supervisor. Duties also include utilizing a personal vehicle to travel between stores on an assigned route, with mileage reimbursement. The individual must meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution and appropriate follow up, and maintain a professional team relationship with co-workers and customers. Responsibilities further include maintaining merchandising standards while rotating products in designated accounts, transporting, replacing and maintaining point of sale advertising, removing improper packaging, defaced or dirty containers/cartons, crediting damaged product and returning it to the plant/facility, and facing all products for customer appeal. Physical tasks involve stacking and un-stacking cases of soft drinks weighing between 5 to 40 pounds continuously, moving heavy pallets with hand jacks, and utilizing forklift or electric pallet jacks when possible. Administrative duties include completing all store paperwork at each stop, checking in and out with management, working assigned stores in order of instruction, reporting low stock conditions to management, and reporting any unsafe conditions to management. Other duties may be assigned or requested. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skill.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • One (1) year general work experience required working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read.
  • Ability to respond to common inquires.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied both written and verbal.
  • Close attention to detail required to verify product stock numbers and date codes.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current vehicle liability insurance.
  • Driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
  • Ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack to lift/move product.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior merchandising experience preferred.
